Raffinesse leans heavily on a modern/urban aesthetic by incorporating elements of techwear and streetwear – focusing on sleek designs emphasizing style and functionality. Outfits that are durable, weather resistant, and made from advanced textiles.

Visual Elements:

The visuals reflect clean, sharp lines and a monochromatic/neutral color palette with high-contrast, bold colors of green to emphasize one of the magazine’s key elements, sustainability. Furthermore, the magazine's style integrates eco-friendly elements through natural motifs, green colors, and backdrops that involve nature. In addition, the Raffinesse features products made from recycled materials and eco-friendly fabrics.

The intended audience is fashion enthusiasts, Gen z’s, and younger millennials who appreciate a blend of techwear and modern streetwear styles.​

Shot on location around San Francisco, the setting includes outdoor scenes that highlight the urban architecture of the city. Along with natural lighting to enhance the overall design. Software such as InDesign and Photoshop's AI generative fill were used to change the backdrop of each photo to a more fitting composition that fit the magazine's theme.

Impact:

The project was aimed to bring awareness to sustainable fashion by using natural settings alongside eco-friendly fashion.
